Report: 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' Cost $363M

WASHINGTON -- Discharging troops under the Pentagon's policy on gays cost $363.8 million over 10 years, almost double what the government concluded a year ago, a private report says.

Hey Snuffy, thanks for postin' a thread here in the "U.S. Military Issues" forum that actually has somethin' to do with U.S. military issues, eh? Methinks others may not've figured out the concept yet.
The story's interestin' 'cause methinks you'd find most military folks'd rather we just let people be what they are. Unfortunately 'twould seem politicians get involved and hafta take the ideologies of their political base into consideration, eh? Lately methinks even Dr Dean and the DNC've got a serious case of cranio-rectal inversion on this subject.
Might wanna take another look at the link provided. It seems to lead to an unrelated story, eh?
