I was curious about the history of abortion throughout history and using google.com found this article on About.com. It is one in a series of educational resource materials found at Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice ("...views are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect those...etc."). The article is only one perspective. However, I found it interesting and noteworthy.
It's author is Dr. John N. Swomley, Emeritus Professor of Christian Social Ethics, St. Paul School of Theology, Kansas City, MO. He has been president of Americans for Religious Liberty since 1986. He is also a member of the board of The Interfaith Alliance, president of Churchman Associates, and chair of the board of The Human Quest.
I hope my copy/paste attempt below worked. Article is a little long (6 pages). One needs Adobe Acrobat in order to be able to read it. What are your opinions of this article...just curious.
