Earlier today, Activisms posted a story about voter fraud in the Tampa area – see target='_blank'>

http://www.commongroundcommonsense.org/for...wtopic=4570&hl=

I did not see a link and wanted to read the story at the source, so I Google news’d the reporter’s byline: “By BRADY DENNIS, Times Staff Writer” and got nine hits, none of which were Activism’s story.

(by the way, I emailed Mr. Dennis additional information from BlackBox.Org to use in the future)

Activism’s original story:

Florida results are clear off the chart..., Massive tabulator tampering in Escambia

By BRADY DENNIS, Times Staff Writer
Published November 16, 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Like the hurricane that plowed through in September, the news that Escambia County had posted the highest voter turnout in the state on Nov. 2 lasted barely a day.

In the wake of the election, records showed that 84.9 percent of the storm-ravaged county's 189,833 voters cast ballots, well above the average state turnout of 72 percent.

Not true.

A problem with the way tabulation machines feed information into the computer system caused an inaccurate number, said Bonnie Jones, Escambia's supervisor of elections.

While the machines accurately counted the number of absentee votes, they began feeding an incorrect result into the office's computers, she said.

"It skewed the total vote," Jones said.

Elections officials noticed the problem almost immediately when the system showed that no one had voted yes on Amendments 7 and 8. That, she said, was a glaring error.

After they figured out the problem, workers manually added the absentee totals into the reporting system, Jones said, and she called the state Division of Elections to report what had happened.

The final result: 75.6 percent, or 143,559, of the county's voters actually turned out for the election, still above the state average. That seemed more normal.

"I had said 75 to 80 percent (would turn out)," Jones said.

As of Monday, the honor that Escambia County once held fell to Flagler County, according to state records. There, 81.9 percent of the 47,068 registered voters cast ballots.

Sarasota County came in a close second at 81.6 percent turnout among its 240,592 registered voters."

----------------------------------------------------------------

The story is still at the newspaper’s site - http://www.sptimes.com/2004/11/16/State/Es...ers_had_a.shtml

SOMETHING SMELLS IN THE LAND OF GOOGLE NEWS!

Search “massive tabulator tampering in Escambia” and get “Your search - Massive tabulator tampering in Escambia - did not match any documents….”

Search “Florida results are clear off the chart” and get “Your search - “Florida results are clear off the chart” - did not match any documents.”

Search any of the text and get similar results.

Questions - Why are other (and more recent) stories by Mr. Dennis searchable in Google News?

I have sent the information and a request for assistance to the newspaper.

If we have any members in the greater Tampa area who could visit Mr. Brady and show him this information, perhaps he would be willing to do a little investigation on Google covering-up news.

Heres something interesting: Try searching for vote fraud in various engines, and it starts to not show anything. Someone trying to "cover" their tracks?

I posted something awhile back about Google sensoring also, this topic was on slashdot.com:

Compare the following images searches Google v Yahoo on their image sites:

Abu Ghraib Images Google Search

Abu Ghraib Images Yahoo Search

Lyndie England - Google Images Search

Lyndie England - Yahoo Search

Charles Graner - Google Images Search

Charles Graner - Yahoo Search

Hmmm, Why doesn't Google want us to see the truth? Or is there a better explanation? I challenge testing of this on other search engines also.

There may be a way to fix google. I, like many of you, own a small business who advertises on google. I'm going to let them know that censorship is outrageous and I'm pulling my ads. If others joined me, it would sure hurt their bottom line, PUBLICLY.

Or, could this simply be an issue with their search engine? I did not see the results of the original search alleged to have been conducted earlier today - can someone post an image of that?

So, before we just fly off the handle, as usual, why not wait and see if it shows up tomorrow? If it doesn't, then I think it is a fair question.

But, if you all want to go running wildly off into the night carrying torches and pitchforks, let me know how many ads you are all cancelling and I will buy 2 for every ad cancelled so that a potentially innocent company does not hurt financially due to more conspiracy theories.

But, I mean, c'mon!!! This is supposedly some vast conspiracy that now Google is in on?????

Who isn't in on it???

With that many people in on this conspiracy, do you stand a chance? (by "you", I mean the conspiracy theorists).

And, a philosophical question: if more people are in on a conspiracy than those who aren't, isn't it really the people not in on it who are actually in on their own conspiracy? smile.gif

Wait, so the proof that Google is censoring things is that there were 2 searches performed, one this morning and one this afternoon and in both cases the "fraud" story is missing?

Maybe their search engine simply hasn't spidered that site yet?

As an accountant, something is positively fishy about a search engine(google, alltheweb, metacrawler) not updating their metatag lists for more than three seperate days......

Again, the key thing here is to not waste time chasing it down, but to awcknowledge the fact that certain media places may be censoring their information. Folks, no theory here, if the media clamped down to call this a "conspiracy" in wide networks, they could easily help censor where the information is coming from IE: the net. However, its a futile effort to actually censor information which is freely available to everyone.

For instance why would the national MSN corporate media censor their information from the search engines, when nearly the whole world goes to their homepage first anyway www.msn.com ? blink.gif

Can you imagine the kind of idiots in charge? Fascism created by 10 year olds, some of these dolts decided to claim a "warning" was sent to them when they locked down the election offices in florida...... huh.gif

Ummmm... no. Their initial figure was 169,000 voted out of 189,000 registered. That was wrong, it was revised to 140,000+ voted out of 189,000 registered (numbers are not exact, but you get the idea).

Get the facts straight.
Activisms
Actually, their *revised* numbers are nothing short of direct ballot changing by claiming the entire thing was a glitch happening in even numbered years across the board.

If the initial tampering wasn't in question, their *revisions* only raise more red flags.

Ummm, get things straight again....

We are talking about Escambia County, Florida now. The even numbered thing supposedly was in Ohio.

And, I love how errors in vote counts are suddenly clear evidence of fraud!!!

Let's see: an election takes place, the counts are found, by the election board, to be wrong, they correct them.... must be fraud.... RIIIIIIIGHT!!!

I don't believe in conspiracy theories either, but it is interesting to note how Google is generally considered the premiere search engine, but does not produce reliable results. Who knows why? Are they censoring information at the request of someone on the right? Who knows? I would expect the best results from them.

Its just interesting that you can sometimes get better results on sites that perhaps update their meta-tags faster than Google. However, the search anamoly regarding Abu Ghraib has been there for a while.

On the otherhand, this is also another interesting anamoly about Google (a left-wing conspiracy, perhaps wink.gif ):

On the Google main page,
type in "miserable failure " without the quotes,

ADS ARE PULLED!
I'm tired of the media bias.. Have we forgotten Sinclair? On my local cable service we get three major national news channels, MSNBC, FOX & CNN. Do you think ANY ISSUE that is discussed on this forum airs on those stations as os late? NOT A ONE! They are too busy repeating what the "legendary" Marth Stewart is going to have for Thanksgiving dinner, or how the merger of Sears and Kmart is going to make my life better, or maybe how GREAT we are doing in Iraq.
The issues we talk about are REAL. They are national stories, (find me one topic in this entire forum that could not be used as a platform in a presidential race, or hasn't been used for that matter), that everyone has a stake in, and apparantly Americans want to discuss or the forum would not exist.

Everyone has their right to an opinion, but some people would like to live in the bliss of ignorance. Let's face it, even if everything in America is working perfectly, this country is still about everyone out for themselves. Capitalism at it's best. No one has time to devote all their energy to looking out for your family, when it's a struggle to take care of their own. My point - Your media is not geared to make sure you are well informed with truthfull, accurate and timely information. It's geared to protect those in control of it. PERIOD!
