The killing of the CARE worker is so horrible, it's depressing, it's sad. There is where the real terrorism is, NOT in the streets and homes of innocent Iraqis. And why hasn't Bush done more with these kidnappers? It's been going on so long, yet I haven't heard anything about a US effort to fight it. Look, Iraq isn't that big. The kidnappers apparently deliver a video after each kidnapping to a single, KNOWN, media outlet. Why aren't we watching that outlet and monitoring who comes and goes? Oh well.
But my main point here is that I understand the Iraqi people have expressed real sorrow and anger over the CARE killing. Maybe now is the time to push for someone to give us some clues about who and where these people are. Surely, especially with some kind of reward, now would be the time for an Iraqi citizen to give us some good intelligence.
I would hope this is being done, but I have my doubts. Bush is so involved with his war, with his destruction of the Iraqi people and infrastructure, that he has lost sight of terrorism. What will it take to kick him in the behind and get him into action?
Oh how sad this is.
