They just had the roll call vote on the Extension of the debt ceiling....

Vote seemed to be pretty much along party lines to me.... big surprise....
Sigh....

I was getting more and more depressed as I watched. I watched the statements before the vote...
All democratic... all talking about the ramifications for increased interest rates, increased mortgage rates, the average family paying an extra $1000 in taxes every year, etc., etc., etc.
Arguments for pay-as-you-go, etc.
The legislation is intended to be an extension that works for only a year.
