Thats because there are no words to describe how it makes me feel. I feel as though we failed these soldiers and now there is no end in sight. I've never had more respect for our military than I do now mad.gif I just want them home safely with their families.

I am 100% opposed to the war but supportive of our troops. It was NOT their decision to go over there.

One of our clients just sent his son off to Iraq. He has set up a website for him and has listed some soldier buddies who don't really recieve mail or care packages. My husband is picking up some phone cards to send to his buddies so they can call their loved ones. Apparently, it's not easy to put change in the phones to make calls! Seems like the military should offer more phone benefits for these guys.

I encourage everyone to visit one of the many sites where you can connect with a soldier and send letters and whatever else you can. (We don't have to express our views on the war to them, we can just be supportive and thank them for their heroic efforts).

I certainly will reply. As a wife of a Marine and a grandmother of another Marine, I take great pride in these young military men and women doing their job. . . I would expect no less.

But, I must take issue with the many different reasons given by their Commander-in-Chief for this war. 9/11 (no connection), WMD(none found), mass graves (now our over extended military can't even bury them) Freedom for the people of Iraq (they are afraid to go out of their homes). And of course, Bush's last and best, we are not into nation building (say what?)

Also, I must take issue with the fact that they are being put in harms way without the proper equipment. Mr. Bush is big on promises, but when the local church had to get together to purchase body armor for some of our young men, I was to say the least discouraged.

In this democracy, the "loyalty oath" is only as good as the man at the top.

Well I'm glad the old Top raised a response.

I saw the SSgt post this about two and a half hours before I said anything hoping to stir some folks up.

The people serving in the military are just as human as people who don't serve in the military. There is probably not a man who would rather be home with their family than being in Iraq or Afghanistan. People ought to let them know they are appreciated.

Hate war, not the warrior.

Thank you Staff Sgt! It's really nice to see a site where combat photos are clearly identified as to what they represent, and good to see our Marines, soldiers, sailors, airmen and allied militaery portrayed in the positive light they deserve.

Unfortunately methinks the majority of the denizens of this forum won't appreciate your efforts. It's probably too tough to use these images to further their own agenda.

There's a really good picture of a British Army Black Watch Regiment bagpiper big sky brad might want as his next avatar.

I just saw your photos. And my son is in Kuwait as we speak ready to move to Iraq any day now.

I oppose George W. Bush's actions in Iraq. He unnecessarily put our military, our neighbors, my son in harm's way. And he lied to us, his citizens, about the threat from Iraq to us.

The most egregious lie to me is the idea he sold to the voters that they are safe here at home because he sent people to Iraq to battle and to be battled against.

His actions only created bloodshed. It did not save bloodshed. He used America's fear of another attack as an excuse for his attack. I do not comprehend his why.

Our military must always be honored; they are always deserving of our honors. However, we should never hesitate to speak against our Commander in Chief or any leadership that abuses its responsibilities to its people, which George Bush has done. There has been no honor in any of his decisions.
