I spoke with a Marcy Randolf, at Sen. Bill Nelson's Office - Nice Lady - Regarding Paper Trails for Voting in FL and she told me Senator Nelson is very upset about this issue and he has tried to to speak With Glenda Hood and she has rebuffed him at even the metion of paper trails for votes.

She also said Gov. Bush has passed a state law that will not permit the recount of Electronic Voting Machines.

Another thing she brought up is that the ES&S Voting Machines being used is owned by a subsidiary of Neil Bush ... WOW !!! (Which Is Never Covered in the Main Stream Media) ... A Bush has ties to Voting machines ... Now how crooked is that !!! I'm going to do research on that and post some articles ... if I find out more ... she also gave me the name of the State Perso=son who is fighting to get Paper Receips and Trails enacted into law. I've called and left a message and hopefully I'll fill more people in about that.

Engineers have called her telling her how easy it is to crack the code and steal elections, she has been bombed with calles with concers of Electronic Voting and she says people just don't care that much about it and bills have been introduced but never make it to the floor. They never get to commitee.

This is BIG and we need to focus on this ... for one she has also said that as long as Democrats are in a Minorityand don't have a Democratic Govenor nothing will change.

At least Nelson is very aware of the situation. That at least gives me hope that soon things will change.

I hope Nelson when he campaigns against Harris brings up some of these issues and makes it a point of sticking it to her good !!!

I don't care if Charlie Crist (Current AG also Running for Govenor as a Republican) has filed a lawsuit against DieBold ... It's looks like smoke and mirrors to me. Lets see if he gets anything done regarding paper trails to our votes.

BREAKING NEWS: Senate Ethics Director Resigns; Senator Hagel Admits Owning Voting Machine Company

By Bev Harris U.S. CHUCK HAGEL NOW ADMITS OWNERSHIP IN VOTING MACHINE COMPANY SENATE ETHICS COMMITTEE DIRECTOR RESIGNS

“Hagel’s ethics filings pose disclosure issue” -- “The Hill” 1/29/2003

On October, 10, 2002 Bev Harris, author of the upcoming “Black Box Voting: Ballot-Tampering” in the 21st Century, revealed that Republican Senator Chuck Hagel has ties to the largest voting machine company, Election Systems & Software (ES&S). She reported that he was an owner, Chairman and CEO of Election Systems & Software (called American Information Systems until name change filed in 1997). ES&S was the ONLY company whose machines counted Hagel’s votes when he ran for election in 1996 and 2002. The Hill, a Washington D.C. newspaper that covers the U.S. national political scene, confirmed her findings today and uncovered more details.

Hagel’s campaign finance director, Michael McCarthy, now admits that Senator Hagel still owns a beneficial interest in the ES&S parent company, the McCarthy Group. ES&S counts approximately 60 percent of all votes cast in the United States. According to the Omaha World-Herald which is also a beneficial owner of ES&S, Hagel was CEO of American Information Systems, now called ES&S, from November 1993 through June 2, 1994. He was Chairman from July 1992 until March 15 1995. He was required to disclose these positions on his FEC Personal Disclosure statements, but he did not.

Hagel still owns up to $5 million in the ES&S parent company, McCarthy Group. But Hagel’s office, when interviewed by Channel 8 News in Lincoln, Nebraska for the evening news on October 22, 2002, said he had sold his shares before he was elected. His office issued a fact sheet claiming that he had made full disclosure.

Last week, Hagel’s campaign finance director, Michael McCarthy (currently an owner and a director of ES&S) admitted to Alexander Bolton of The Hill that Hagel is still an owner of ES&S parent company, the McCarthy Group, and said that Hagel also had owned shares in AIS Investors Inc., a group of investors in ES&S itself. Yet Hagel did not disclose owning or selling shares in AIS Investors Inc. on his FEC documents, a required disclosure, nor did he disclose that ES&S is an underlying asset of McCarthy Group, in which he lists an investment of up to $5 million in 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001.

How do you say steal an election ... Say I hid info I was CEO & Owned a Voting Machine Company. I'll win guaranteed !!!

Hagel’s official biography states, “Prior to his election to the U.S. Senate, Hagel worked in the private sector as the President of McCarthy and Company, an investment banking firm based in Omaha, Nebraska and served as Chairman of the Board of American Information Systems.” During the first Bush presidency, Hagel served as Deputy Director and Chief Operating Officer of the 1990 Economic Summit of Industrialized Nations (G-7 Summit).

Bob Urosevich was the Programmer and CEO at AIS, before being replaced by Hagel. Bob now heads Diebold Election Systems and his brother Todd is a top executive at ES&S. Bob created Diebold’s original electronic voting machine software. Thus, the brothers Urosevich, originally funded by the far Right, figure in the counting of approximately 80% of electronic voting in the United States.

Like Ohio, the State of Maryland was disturbed by the potential for massive electronic voter fraud. The voters of that state were reassured when the state hired SAIC to monitor Diebold’s system. SAIC’s former CEO is Admiral Bill Owens. Owens served as a military aide to both Vice President Dick Cheney and former Defense Secretary Frank Carlucci, who now works with George H.W. Bush at the controversial Carlyle Group. Robert Gates, former CIA Director and close friend of the Bush family, also served on the SAIC Board.

Diebold’s track record

Wherever Diebold and ES&S go, irregularities and historic Republican upsets follow. Alastair Thompson, writing for scoop.co of New Zealand, explored whether or not the 2002 U.S. mid-term elections were “fixed by electronic voting machines supplied by Republican-affiliated companies.” The scoop investigation concluded that: “The state where the biggest upset occurred, Georgia, is also the state that ran its election with the most electronic voting machines.” Those machines were supplied by Diebold.

Wired News reported that “. . . a former worker in Diebold’s Georgia warehouse says the company installed patches on its machine before the state’s 2002 gubernatorial election that were never certified by independent testing authorities or cleared with Georgia election officials.” Questions were raised in Texas when three Republican candidates in Comal County each received exactly the same number of votes – 18,181.

Following the 2003 California election, an audit of the company revealed that Diebold Election Systems voting machines installed uncertified software in all 17 counties using its equipment.

I was talking with a lady who was in Wahington D.C. lobbying for paper trails to the electronic voting. She lives in Florida and I got her number from Sen. Bill Nelson's Office ... I got her cell phone and email address.

She said the big talking point of the Republicans is how paper votes, are easily manipulated. Are you kidding me !!!

That's all they heard in Washington ... When they were lobbying.

Incredible. I talked to her about my idea of having a paper receipt ... and she said it would never pass ... people would sell their votes ... by giving them the receipt on how they voted ... which she and both parties think, and BTW would never permit it to happen because your and my vote should be kept secret.

She is fighting right now for paper trails and also, the ability to audit 2% of the votes recorded on DRE's.

She wants to go to a "Optical Scanner Machine Only" Voting systems - paper which backs up the Electronic Touch Screen Voting machines.

Gov. Bush has a law on the books that Electronic Votes CAN NOT BE RECOUNTED !!!

So the fight goes on for Electronic Voting and a PAPER TRAIL !!!

I only vote on optical machines.

She's also researching a subsidiary company owned by Neil Bush to the ES&S Voting Machine Company --- which Neil supposedly has investment ties to --- After I told her about it --- She Returns Today back to Florida.
