Joe Klein: "Nukes should be on the table"

Joe Klein started off today on "THIS WEEK," sounding fairly reasonable in the discussion about Iran and then veered off into neocon, kool-aid drinking lunacy. George Stephanopoulos was even caught off guard by Klein's statements. Does he seriously believe that including nukes whether we attack, discuss or threaten is not seen as a doomsday scenario? We are talking about nukes Joe, freaking nukes.

Video-WMP Video-QT

Klein: We should not take any option including the use of nuclear, tactical nuclear weapons off the table...

Stephanopoulos: Keep that on the table?-That's insane...

One of the main points of Sy Hersh's article is that the inclusion of nukes in an attack plan against Iran has the military leaders freaked out and they are demanding it be pulled or they will quit. It seems that Klein doesn't share those views.

To add more right wing spin into his arguments today, Klein proclaimed that if Francine Busby wins the San Diego election-it'll be "over reported" in the media. Even George Will suggested that it was a win-win situation for the Democrats-and if she won it would be like an earthquake. So who is the liberal and who is the right winger?

Might I ask a small little insignificant question here?

Methinks, based on watchin' the hearings and votes 'bout it on CSPAN, all further fundin' for the tactical nuclear bunker buster program was taken out of the 2005-2006 budget last October, prior to even a single prototype bein' built. That bein' the case where're these weapons Sy and the rest are now squealin' 'bout gonna come from?

Hey, I'm no expert about military budgets, but could something like that be placed into the black budget after being pulled?

It also makes one wonder what is being referred to when people in the Administration say themselves that all options, including nuclear, are on the table. Maybe someone should be asking them your question?

Why would I do that? IMHO this administration's credibility's 'bout as good as Sy Hersh's, eh?

Added on edit: Maybe Hersh is a little better as methinks he gets his facts straight 'bout half the time.

Methinks crazy folks sayin' crazy stuff should not be viewed as credible. That bit of video methinks shows why ABC's Sunday mornin' talkin' heads spot lost so many viewers they've been removed from the schedule in more'n a couple places, includin' here in the Providence market.

Why aren't any of the so called journalists askin' the same question I am, eh? If fundin' for this program was removed durin' last October's reconciliation action then why is it bein' talked 'bout now? Probably 'cause methinks todays so called journalists don't wanna let the facts get in the way of a good story, as we've seen and I've shown here on this site so many times in the past! Methinks 'twouldn't play in Peoria if Chronkite, Huntley and Brinkley still ruled the roost.

'Tain't really off budget, but hidden under other appropriations, eh? Methinks them Congress critters that sit through these closed classified committee hearin's, Republican and Democrat alike, would know.

Your question should be asked Flydangler. However, as has been intimated, the worry with this administration is that facts and budgets, even laws mean little to them. The Bush Administration is corrupt. Namely, they cannot be trusted at all, and I for one would not put anything past them.
