We all have stories to tell about who we are, what the world around us looks like and where we come from, and on some level we all have fears about how these stories can come back to hurt us.

I am going to put my stories out there with the full knowledge that I will regert it at certain times in the future.

Is it possible that I am mad?

If I am mad does that make me anymore creative than if I were sane?

Is sanity preferable to madness?

Who gets to judge the merits of madness vs sanity?

Is the view of one who knows their own madness and the limits of their own sanity anymore valuable than the views of society's professionals in this area?

I think you need Billmsf on this one.

-It is possible that anyone, at any given time is "mad."
-Often the most creative people are considered by others to be "mad."
-Depends of the definition of sanity and madness.
-Good question. I suppose that is in the eye of the beholder. Though, society in the end is the judge, I suppose. (which, given the current state of society is most problematic)
-Valuable to whom ?

Where did all this come from ? dontknow.gif

I haven't visited this topic much so don't know if you are writing fiction or talking about self-publishing.

My sis has written about seven books (fiction) and has had boxes and boxes of rejections. However I encourage her to continue because it is such a creative activity for her, in my book (chuckle) - that is a benefit.

And there is satisfaction even if done in anonymity and obscurity. Ask the millions with their product out there on the net.
