I just e-mailed the link to friends. I'm glad Kerry is continuing to stand on this issue.
I signed, but it's got a snowball's chance in hell of passing in the current Congress. Unless and until Democrats have the majority, we're dead in the water. It's a noble effort, but uninsured kids are in the same boat as this newly uninsured adult. We might get somewhere on health care if the election is overturned, otherwise we're in serious trouble for the next 4 years. The only move Bush has made is to indicate he may not allow health insurance to be a deductible expense for small businesses which automatically means an enormous number of people will be on their own. With rates for private policies being what they are (mine went up to $12,000 a year), few people can afford them. It's a disgraceful state of affairs for a nation like ours.
That letter was so powerful after all the rotten news today, my face is wet - thanks a lot for the heads-up! Shame the naysayers into publicly defending the indefensible, issue by issue. This is a fine starting point.

I didn't get the letter about election fraud and stealing, I should have gotten it I feel. But I would rather sign the petition on that to stop these criminals from doing anymore damage, unfortunately, Kerry would not put that on the public site as it would give his intentions away too clearly

I think what Kerry is doing is brilliant. When I read the letter and saw the video I realized that he knows the power of all of us together. He knows that if we all ask for something Congress and the Senate will have to listen even if it is a republican one. With the republicas controlling both, this may be a new approach that gets their attention.

Yes, Kerry is brilliant! He knows that if we all act together, we can change this country, whether you live in his district, or whether or not he is president. Just give me some phone numbers to call! I've had volunteer withdrawal!! I signed the petition, forwarded it to my friends.
What a stroke of genius, too, to start with an idea like healthcare for children, something even the repugs can't rain on! Call your Republican senators and representatives daily and let them know you won't let them squash this. If we can raise the debt level by 8 trillion, we can take care of our children. What's another billion or tow?? We need to stay behind him, all the way and show George Bush what real power looks like, power that is earned through respect. Kerry On!!
