The documented vote miscounts may amount to a small amount of the total, per county, per state,-BUT
If there are a few KNOWN vote miscounts, then what about all the other machines, by the same suppliers??
Logically, it is reasonable to extrapolate that known miscounts to other machines by the same suppliers in other areas, where the descrepancies were not so visible.
Even if the corrupted machines were programmed to alter the vote by 2%- NOT VERY NOTICEABLE, THIS WOULD ACTUALLY RESULT IN A 4% TOTAL DIFFERENCE
If there is a known, discoverable defective problem in a product, it is common practice to recall all similar products for inspection and/or repair.
This is done with Automobiles and with Airplanes and many other items.
Is this not reason enough to legally demand inspection of the machines made by manufacturers whose E-Voting machines have been documented to have produced false totals????
2% From Kerry = a 4% advantage for Bush

JunkYardDogg, that is an excellent point. And what is more important to the life of the nation than the vote?

People have been looking at oddities in voting patterns that stand out, but there also could be more subtle differences that are within the "normal" pattern but that would make a difference in the totals, based on the problems in like machines.

I wonder if there is anything in consumer protection laws that would apply.
