I believe I have the answer to the problem of illegal immigration. It's quite simple really, and I am surprised that Conservatives haven't brought this up, since they are nomrally quick to point to free market capitalism as the cure for so many problems.

Apparently, there is a demand for the labor of these illegal immigrants. From what I read in the paper, several industries would be in big trouble this supply of labor dried up.

So, I propose that every illegal immigrant who has a job, be made a citizen of the United States and be afforded all the rights, privledges and protections to which all citizens are entitled. Let them keep coming until there is equilibrium and supply and demand meet. At that point according to free market theory, they will stop coming until there is new demand.

Let those companies who benefited from their labor, pay any costs associated with asborbing these new citizens into our society.

Don't worry about the language barrier. Most studies find that by the second generation, they will be speaking English.

So that's my idea.
