Methinks, if you didn't understand that, then you really need to read the new book by Ann Coulter!

If you folks knew 'bout the nasty reactions he got, many in ugly PMs and e-mail, from the few posts he did here and other places, you wouldn't be surprised he's given up on political sites and the ugly side of politics in general has soured him on that too.

Now he's happier dealin' with tryin' to make kids smarter, dealin' with the trials and tribulations of his herd and learnin' how to plat the five string banjo. Seems he's also got it in his head to form an unorthodox zydeco band, assisted by my youngest. They wanna do things like use the Irish bagpipe to play fiddle parts and stuff. Weird!

Good Morning everyone.. Would someone please give me a good swift kick to get me started this morning ?

Had about two hours sleep and think I'm on auto pilot. And fish and canaries are all hungry and demanding attention. And Les is finally asleep but for how long is anyone's guess.

I have come to the conclusion that retirement is harder than working ! I'm doing things now I didn't do at 25. My image as the helpless female has now been replaced by that of a truck driver or construction worker. And I am about to adopt their vocabularies as well if things don't lighten up around here soon !! baseball_bat.gif I ache all over.

Today most assuredly has to be better than yesterday so I better get at it.
Now that I have whined sufficiently I think I better get moving. Why is it that misery shared always seems to be easier ??? doh.gif

Hope you all have an absolutely wonderful day flowersun.gif

And now I can relax finally. The temperature hovered around 60 yesterday so we ended up setting up everything in the garage for the grad party but it worked out well. The food was catered - and everyone was grateful fo that.

Did I hear this right - Des is studying for a test? That should be easy for the guys, there's only one answer for the guys - whatever she wants, just say yes. Well congrats Des and it's about time.

Don't work so hard ConcernedObserver! Retirement is what you do with it also. Yesterday I went to the Greek festival in Camarillo in the morning and then to Main Street, Ventura in the afternoon just to walk around. The sun came out for the first time in days. The moon was beautiful last night. Tonight is the official full moon! Look up at the sky and remember your hopes and dreams.

You are right.. I also find my peace in nature and the good I see around me. The hard work is something I truly don't mind. The weather was ideal until Friday and then it turned a bit nasty for the weekend (which would be a good day in January but not June) but sunshine is forecast tomorrow - just in time for me to go back to work. No mosquito's, I heard they are migrating east to the milder New England climate.

I am even more sure I wish I knew Gunny. The man and his wife are saints ! If there is a place in heaven for anyone they most definitely have two with their names on them ! Children are my achilles heel so I am not exaggerating. Bless them both. But then, they are already blessed. Any child who has been in their care must adore them.

Mid 30's? Gee, I guess Canada isn't so bad after all! tongue.gif Of course we are right at the tip of Lake Ontario so we get a break most of the time weatherwise. We laugh at times when we see the weather radar map and all around us is getting snow or torrential rain. We get showers, and often ones which are of no use to plant life in summer and in winter the snowfall is no where near what I was used to before moving here. Of course there are exceptions to every rule. 2 years ago we got everyone's share of snow I think.

It's okay, in fact a while back I almost took a job offer in Jasper, Alberta.

Here are various bits of Canadian humor, all of them about the weather.

* The four seasons in Canada are June, July, August and Winter.
* Tourists like to come to Ontario in the summer month.
* A bit north of Toronto, people consider themselves lucky if summer coincides with a weekend.
* Best way to fight the winter blues is to take up a winter sport. Complaining about winter is the most popular one.
* In the praires, you can be sure that it does not snow in July and August.
* If you complain about weather in Canada, then move to Vancouver. Then you will complain about high real estate values and cost of living.
