This is part II of my guide for analysis
Slippery Slopes
Both Democrats and Republicans have weaknesses which can be exploited by corruption from within. These corrupt values can hide behind platform vulnerabilities and seize power over the party. These platform vulnerabilities are slippery slopes that seem good-willed at first, but leave infinite room for reinterpretation. Regardless of how likely or unlikely these evils emerge, the opposing party attempts to deter even temptations of approaching these slippery slopes. Although it is probably less than 1% of each party that is willing to go to extremes, it is possible that the 1% can dominate the party in leadership roles if given the opportunity.
Slippery Slope For Democrats: Civil Rights and Liberties
Civil rights and liberties may start off as innocent as voter rights for minorities. Then it may progress to loosening of marriage laws, laws governing decency of sex, age of consent, legalized drugs, gambling, prostitution, beastiality, hedonism, witch craft, satan worship, necrophilia. This is the social conservatives worst night mare. Once you start allowing anything, you open Pandora's box and allow everything. The country will go the way of Babylon.
A historic example of their fears partially coming true was the liberal cultural power gained by the civil rights movement progressing into a sexual revolution, which led to wide spread venereal disease, abortion, less marriages and the decline of families. Although we preached "Value families" in the 90's, the liberal reputation of the 70's still sticks.
Slippery Slope For Republicans: Help by Denial of Aid and Religious Morals
Both "Denial of Aid" and "Religious Morals" can lead to Sanctioning Cruelty in the name of discipline and the will of God.
Denial of Aid comes from the philosophy of "teach a man to fish". I might be willing to teach a man to fish if he brings his own pole. If he can't afford a pole than he's not helping the economy so maybe he doesn't deserve fish. He might be taking fish away from hard-working people who do deserve fish. I don't like him begging at my door step either. Don't make me call the police. I need to buy a gun to protect undeserving thieves from stealing my fish. This mean-spirited rational also leads to opposing affirmative action.
Religious Morals is also a slippery slope for several reasons. Its good to have morals until you try to force them on someone else. This leads to immoral violence for the sake of morality and peace. Religious morals can also lead to opposing other moral standards that are not based on your doctrine entirely. The doctrine itself can be twisted and translated to justify almost any behavior for those who seek highly motivated people to fulfill a hidden agenda of wealth in power or an open agenda of mass sanctioned hate. The "Gods chosen people" principle can be used to start holy wars. A combination of Denial of Aid and Religious Morals can double the destruction and cruelty.
A historic example of this was the rise of the Nazi party through the conservative party in the 1930's Germany. More recently in America, there has been a increase of racial hate groups fueled by the "New Christian Identity Movement" and disenfranchised whites fearing "Affirmative Action" as discriminating against white males. There are so many new racially-motivated hate groups now, its impossible to keep track.
Third Parties
Third parties are a little more sophisticated than the two major parties because they have almost unanimously identified corporations as the root of greed, inhumanity, environmental abuse and moral decay. Some of the third parties are trying to break up the two-party monopoly, others a just trying to get their issues out into the mains stream.
Neo Conservatives The party within the party.
They are kind of a tumor in the collective brain of this country. They are neither conservative or liberal. They are imperialistic. The Republicans have been seduced by their mean spirited values. True conservatives don't see that they are aligned with the Republican party. I don't know if they are aligned with corporations either, but it seems they have much corporate backing.
This can be a guide for anyone who agrees or a format to build on if you think its not totally accurate.
