According to the newest Columbus Dispatch poll (released today):
Ted Strickland has extended his lead to 20% over Ken Blackwell in Ohio Governor's race.
Sherrod Brown has 8% lead over Mike DeWine for the Senate.
On a side note, everyone here should probably keep an eye on Ted Strickland. He's gaining across-the-board support here in Ohio, and he's beating the Cons at their own game. He's a former Methodist minister who is stealing the religion vote, he's probably one of the ONLY Democrats to EVER get the NRA endorsement, and he's got a PhD in psychology. In fact, the only bad thing my "Bush-can-do-no-wrong" father-in-law could say about him was that he's from Cleveland, so he'll probably "try to send all the government money up to Cleveland," rather than keeping it here in Columbus. In fact, I know a LOT of brainwashed Bush voters who will be voting for Strickland in the fall, mainly because Blackwell has gone way too far off the Religious Right deep end and turned off everyone but the most lobotomized Republicans. If Strickland has a successful run as Ohio's Governor, I can see him being a viable candidate for the White House down the road.
