A great find, Eddiejoe. I particularly liked, "A Growing Movement." Universal
Health Care, not buying Insurance for everyone. This approach has primarilly benefited the insurance companies. For this strategy to work, the Democratic
Party needs to tie reforming medical care to two or three other reforms that would
have a multiplier effect on reforming the social system--workplace reform,
support for small businesses (under 50 employees) and cleaning up predatory
credit practices are possible examples.

Even Spain has a longer life expectancy.

I liked the article about Maine's Clean Elections law and how that is really facilitating meaningful healthcare reform in the state.

Unfortunately I see very little changing nationally until we get real, meaningful campaign finance reform.

This country needs a lot more small 'd' democracy.
