The attached article describes the congressional “pork process” from start to end. It hopefully will remove some of the common misunderstandings about who is for and against “earmarking.” If you think DOD doesn’t like the pork added to defense bills, that the costs have no impact on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, or that someone in Congress is serious about ending the abuse, you may want to read this article.
