Cheney Wants Another War, and He'll Get it No Matter What

A. Alexander, August 26th, 2006

Poor Dick Cheney! During the lead up to the Iraq War he spent many hours kicking down doors of intelligence agency offices. His objective, of course, was to bully agents into fabricating information that could be used to con the American people into going to war with Saddam. Dick would love to do the same with intelligence agents regarding Iran, but since word leaked out about his Iraq tactics he just can't be seen doing it all over again. That isn't to say, of course, that he isn't willing to have his private pretended "intelligence" crew, formerly known as the "Office of Special Plans", invent stories about Iran's nuclear capabilities. Dick's already tried that Iraq trick.

What then, is Dick to do? Well, Dick does what Dick has always done...only a little more sneak-like! Apply indirect and yet, very palpable pressure on the real intelligence community to generate data favorable to Dick's perspective by using the media and, too, GOP shills in Congress.

Interestin' as this item might be to some, methinks 'tis got 'bout as much to do with anything pertinent to this forum as an article on the corrupt Swiss banking system'd be..

Seems this place is for U.S. Military Issues, not threads on evil harpies in government, eh? 'Twould seem the initiator of this thread might again be showin' signs of bein' topically challenged.

Doc,

SeC is the only guy in this forum that I have blocked out, so any respect I ever had for him is long gone. But I did read the article- I'd give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. 2cents.gif

Then methinks you're a more tolerant soul than me. Just the same 'twould seem, since 'tis been moved here and no longer under U.S. Military Issues, someone with friends in low places agreed with me, eh?

Also think that, though methinks 'tis still quite a ways off, Iran with nukes is a whole lot scarier than North Korea with nukes. I got no doubt if "Dear Leader" looks like he'll upset the Chinese' rice bowl they'll squash him like a bug and take away the DPRK's toys, but there ain't too many in sight that can or would do the same to Iran, eh?

Unfortunately methinks you gotta add to the equation Iran's President seems to think he's the new Saladin. Somebody best do somethin' diplomatically, certainly not the Bush administration's strong point, before it's too late and the innocent people of Tehran find their city has become the world's largest glass bowl.
