To understand why this became a concern to me was because back in the 60's the Rev. Sun Muyung Moon was recuiting "moonies" and one of them was my dear friend. They literally kidnapped this 14yr old and took him away from his family. His family tried in vain to get his son back but they never did. He wasnt the only one, there were alot of other families that were experimenting the same hell my dear friends family went through. Do you people of the 60's remember what I am talking bout? Lots of news on the tv back then, but cant quite remember why this news went away.

Anyway, I was doing some research on this Rev. Sun Myung Moon to try and find the article about why he was here in the states in a government setting. I came across this site and it will turn your stomach. John Kerry is mentioned and it seems that this Right Winged Evangalistic movement is alot sicker than you know. Note: for some Evangalists who are true Evangalists, this does not apply.

I read it all and it sounds like the Occult religious zealots persecuted Kerry as though he was a false god or something else....The whole thing about politics is born in religion which is scaring me....It seems like JFK has been in this position before and had to fight a war....I believe this time he is stronger and in position to take them down, whereas before he could only slow them down but that would be because most of the voters, most of us, are allied behind him.....I think we're going to sieze these foul players for good....

Media criticizes Kerry and calls him a Liberal "nutcase", what could they be afraid of, but more of the truth....Obviously the importance of money is on the neocons minds who are running the media, but what if there is no country left then that money washes away and dissolves....I think that more and more as this China deal gets brought to light they will begin turning on eachother, Kerry has exposed the scandals far bigger than this before......And we're now all the way out in the future seeing what it cost us...

Did you notice the last article I was referring to was posted in 1997?? Geez, we should have seen this coming, but how were we to know since the news doesnt report things like this. The neocons via the press blast the Dems and puts them down like we are foolish individuals. I too know someone in Moon's organization. He entered of his own free will when he was about 22 after studing to be a Catholic Priest. His parents were allowed to see him and he was allowed to come home. He married in the mass wedding ceremony in Madison Square Garden, and has been married now for about 28 years. They have 3 beautiful sons. They live in their own home, are permitted outside friends and enterprises.

I am sure there were alot of people that entered the Moon orginization of their own free will. But I do recall the masses showed up here and they were a scary bunch to me at the time. His personally changed. In fact, one time he was at a resturant and he saw his friends and literally got on his knees and started preaching loudy and handing them literature. His friends thought he flipped. That wasnt the 14yr old friend I knew. This guy was programmed. This guy was taken to South America and his parents went through hell trying to get him back.

All cults get started with the best intentions in mind....That's how they grow out of control.

not sure if I can find what you are looking for, but about a year ago, there was a minor controversy with the Rev Moon being "honored" in Washington at this bizarre ceremony with a bunch of congress people and guests (I think most were Repubs..but won't swear). I believe the ceremony ended up with a proclamation of Rev. Moon being designated a messenger from God, or some similar - I'll keep looking for the article (it was even on NPR) - but anyway, someon caught wind and raised a ruckus and these congressman started claiming ignorance...."my staff just calendared it for me.." and the like (Can you say "Ted Stevens" here, blaming rogue staff members for slipping in stuff without the Senator knowing?).
