The attorney for Nevada’s Republican presidential electors, facing a court challenge that alleges flawed voter registration practices, said Monday he’ll move to dismiss the challenge.

Reno lawyer Rew Goodenow said the electors, scheduled to meet Dec. 13 to cast Nevada’s five electoral votes for President Bush, aren’t the proper defendants in the case filed last week in Washoe District Court by Rick Newell Davis of Minden.

In his election contest statement, Davis said thousands of Nevadans might have been denied the right to vote Nov. 2 because of the registration problems, and still should be allowed to cast ballots.
