I am sorry Beamer that this one didn't work out. I was fortunate to meet some of the members in Ventura back in August of 2005 although it was a very difficult time for me. I am unable to travel far from home now so I would be unable to make the S.D. trip as much as I would love to see you and the others. We can still keep up our friendships here until another opportunity comes along. Is winston okay or has anyone heard from him lately? He is in my prayers. I know from personal experience how difficult life can be sometimes.

Hey KT, thanks for the kind thoughts.
It's "possible" that we could still meet on the 28th, but it is highly doubtful at this point. I think PP, maus, billfmsd, possibly TROU, me and, of course WS, were planning to get together and have dinner. Skillet (mtnmagic) also was interested in coming, but I don't know if she would have been able to make it. Jeffmoskin also lives in the LA area but wasn't able to make it this time. I believe I could also have gotten a boat ride for everyone. It would have been a great opportunity. But, it's probably not going to happen.
PP suggested to me that the SoCal people meet sometime soon in San Clemente or somewhere between San Diego and LA. I'd rather just go to LA because it would be a lot more fun than San Clemente! When I think San Clemente, I think Richard Nixon!
I missed the Ventura get-together two years ago, and last year the bbq at WS's house didn't happen. It seems like people from CGCS have a reluctance to actually meet in person. It's easier to stay in our comfort zones of just online relationship. It would be fun to meet everyone from CGCS in a central US location. rla lives in Arkansas (that's sort of central) and has some property I believe. Or, maybe we should all just splurge and head over to Hawaii to get together with DWB04 for a beach party!
I have talked to a couple of CGCSers on the phone and have had what I consider close relationships with a few people here. I definitely am interested in meeting people from CGCS and making our relationships more real and perhaps more meaningful. After all, some of us have been together here or on the Kerry forum for three years!
