Blue Dogs See Ranks Grow

"Members of the Blue Dogs are anything but reticent about their growing influence within the new Democratic majority, as the moderate lawmakers -- who now number nearly four dozen, the largest contingent in the group’s 12-year history -- seek to maximize their impact in the House following the power switch in the 110th Congress," writes Roll Call.

The Blue Dogs added nine freshman members following the 2006 election, bringing their total membership to 44 congressmen.

this is one liberal that won't fall for this crap and I surely won't vote in 2008...I would rather see Rudy win than the wrong democrat
We were already forced with Bill the Bushfamily member for 8 years...he ruined the party, and I for one won't be part of further ruination

The presidency is really not that important anyhow if the wrong Dem is elected...
Throw all the bums out

from the article above---
"

Rep. Lynn Woolsey, D-Calif., a member of the "Out of Iraq" caucus that favors forcing an end to the war, complained in a recent Web interview that Blue Dogs "are bragging that they have nine new members."

In the interview with the liberal group Progressive Democrats of America, she pointed out that the Progressive Caucus can boast the same number of freshmen.

But party officials argue that those more liberal newcomers are not in competitive seats, and that their supporters are unlikely to forsake Democrats in 2008, when they will be highly motivated to turn out to try to wrest the presidency from Republicans."

I found the list and you'll be surprised who's on there and there's one report of one representative who has left the bluedogs but haven't been able to confirm it yet.
