Wish I had more Girl Scout stuff to do today, but instead I gotta go play patient in a hospital for a bit, eh? Bummer! At least I got a GS meetin' to look forward to tonight though. Methinks that'll cheer me up a bit.And it only took us 10 days to reach this plateau, eh?

Today's just the pre-op and anesthesia consult, nothin' real excitin' hapenin' 'til April 20th, eh? Then they wanna do a bit of outpatient internal belly bump removal and see what it is. Methinks it's no big deal, but with my history it wouldn't pay to not check it out, eh?

On a lighter note 'twould seem momma wants to visit Guelph in October, probably the weekend of the 6th. Since you ain't that far away think a short visit Saturday'd spoil your Thanksgiivng weekend?

That's the problem with this world, nobody wants to play patient, everyone wants to play doctor.

It would make my Thanksgiving weekend and my year !!!!

There is no one I would rather welcome into our home ! I'm going to count on it . It gives me a wonderful gift to look forward to .. actually being able to give you a hug and thank you in person for being such a wonderful friend when I need it most.

We are both facing medical issues these days. I go for biopsies on two spots on my face and nose on the 27th. Minor surgery done in the Dr's own surgery but if they come back as he suspects he says he'll be referring me to a plastic surgeon. He figures they are squamous cell and as I have had them for two years he is rather concerned. I thought they were just dry skin or psoriasis. He thinks differently.

I had one removed about two years ago from my nose which was basal cell but he says these are different. Payback for all those years playing golf without sunscreen or a visor I guess.

Kinda quiet here today, eh? Methinks that'd be me alright! Hope I won't be a disappointment, eh?

Happy talk ? Well, I have a wild dogwood tree in the swamp outside of the travel trailer window and it is in bloom.
This is a big deal for someone who lives in central Florida and has no dogwoods and really has no spring, per say.
And there are lovely tulips (!!!!) all over the the towns around here- gorgeous.
Something a simple as a flower can be a very happy thing.

Is it happy talk to say it's the middle of April and the snow is still falling?
All these hours of snowing and blowing and we still have only just over an inch.

Everyone has been attending a lynching I guess. Or else they have chosen to be out in the fresh air.. even if it is cold air.

Feeding frenzies do have a tendency to be accompanied by a stench. Its amazing how little value is accorded to free speech when it suits ones purposes. It ain't gonna be pretty when it comes back and bites them in the A**.

I actually heard the uncensored tape of the Imus comments last night for the first time. on our news. My take on it was completely different than what I heard and read all this week. He was talking and laughing about what a fight they had put up and I may be dead wrong but it sounded as if he was saying they were one tough team. His choice of using rapper lingo in doing so was dead wrong but hardly a death penalty offense.

I couldn't help equating it to the Dan Rather thing. In that case it was RW uproar fomented by the powers that be that did him in . Strange how no one else seems to see that analogy. Guess it only comes down to who's ox is being gored.


I better shut up .. I'm straying into forbidden territory I guess.

Except to say .. This life long liberal is seriously having some second thoughts about the company she's keeping in the political arena. Moderate Centre is looking better all the time.

One other little sidenote..

Just to see if anyone could surface and actually pay attention to really important stuff. I posted two articles about the troop extensions and the huge bonuses being paid to entice reenlistment.. I don't think anyone even read the thread.

3 month extensions may seem like nothing to some .. in my mind it could be the difference between living and dying. Fatigue and burnout take their toll. But what do I know... troops living or dying pales in comparison to a good witchhunt.

And go ahead .. rap my knuckles. I am not a darn bit sorry I am blowing off steam. We have taken heavy casualties the past week in Afghanistan and I'm feeling a great deal of sorrow at the loss of those lives.

Three months is forever.

It's another crummy day in Vegas. The winds have been horrid, creating a whole body sandpapering if you go oustide. Between the dust, mulberry and olive pollen coupled with flying chunks of palm trees - I feel bad for the tourist that came for good weather. Even the dogs don't like it! I always worry more about my husband on days like this, too. Things like this tend to happen with these wierd gusty winds..



Thankfully his crews are a different location.

I totally see the analogy, Betty. The same people who are preaching constantly about free speech are the ones to throw the first stone against it's use. There really is no difference between the far left and far right when it comes to methods and actions. They also hold everyone who is not one of them to be a member of the opposite extreme.

Its a plot Noonan. Didn't you know? The kids of the world have a secret society which is very clandestine and their code is very strict. Their membership is worldwide. If anyone breaks the code of silence they are ostracized. I suspect there is a junior CIA group responsible for monitoring their activities to assure the secrecy factor isn't compromised.

I have suspicions they plan on taking over the world within the next decade or so and they have the full backing of BUSHCO my spies tell me. Its all a part of the plan for continuing control by BUSHCO into perpetuity.

She is an oncologist who has done a lot of reseach work and a retired child psychologist. She is also one of the dearest people I know even though she doesn't suffer fools easily. She does have patience though .. she puts up with me.
