Good morning everyone!
(or what ever 'tis where ever you is, eh?)

Lookin' at another nice day here, but methinks I'll be engaged doin' Girl Scout cookie stuff again. Today it's a cookie sale in CT, eh? At least that'll be the end of it, but will it stop me seein' things in my dreams?

Anybody here doin' anything special for April fool's day?

Well, here's hopin' the weather's great where ever y'all are at! Enjoy the day, be safe, stay well and remember to play nice!

Good Morning .. have to rush as I spent my time this morning writing .. now wish I hadn't. Probably was dumb to even try to contribute something which might have a positive effect.

Just call me Pollyanna! Or dumb , if you prefer.

Tuffy is now demanding attention however. He has already helped..?? me change the beds and tidy upstairs and now he is demanding I serve his Dad's breakfast. So better get moving.

Tomorrow is cortisone shot day so maybe I'll be in better shape after that.

Have a happy and productive day everyone !

I'm not doing too much posting myself because I'm plain worn out from the news. And I'm tired of playing nice. Consequently, it allows me to open my mouth which I did in Cafe recently re: the Edwards. Naturally I got into trouble and Pie closed the thread. See, even the Snuff can tick off the moderators. But Frank Rich saved me. He writes so much better than I do. Have a good week all.

Ways To Have Fun in the Workplace

Page yourself over the intercom. Don't disguise your voice.

Find out where your boss shops and buy exactly the same outfits. Wear them one day after you boss does. This is especially effective if your boss is of a different gender than you.

Make up nicknames for all your coworkers and refer to them only by these names. "That's a good point, Sparky." "No, I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to disagree with you there, Cha-Cha."

Send e-mail to the rest of the company telling them exactly what you're doing. For example: "If anyone needs me, I'll be in the bathroom."

Hi-Lite your shoes. Tell people you haven't lost them as much since you did this.

While sitting at your desk, soak your fingers in Palmolive liquid. Call everyone Marge.

Hang mosquito netting around your cubicle. When you emerge to get coffee or a printout or whatever, slap yourself randomly the whole way.

Put a chair facing a printer. Sit there all day and tell people you're waiting for your document.

Every time someone asks you to do something, anything, ask them if they want fries with that.

Send e-mail back and forth to yourself engaging yourself in an intellectual debate. Forward the mail to a co-worker and ask her to settle the disagreement.

Encourage your colleagues to join you in a little synchronized chair-dancing.

Put your trash can on your desk. Label it "IN."

Feign an unnatural and hysterical fear of staplers.

Send e-mail messages saying there's free pizza or donuts or cake in the lunchroom. When people drift back to work complaining that they found none, lean back, pat your stomach and say, "oh you've got to be faster than that.

Put decaf in the coffeemaker for three weeks. Once everyone has withdrawn from caffeine addiction, switch to espresso.

Good Morning everyone

At least its starting off a not too bad day. Better than yesterday certainly.

Had the dreaded cortisone shot in my right elbow,.. don't know if it helped or not as I have a very sore arm at the moment. Not the joint pain but the muscles and tendons from elbow to wrist are giving me fits and have been since last night.

He also prescribed Arthrotec for my left shoulder and neck as he said it was not possible to use cortisone there due to the fact the entry point for the needle would be right at the base of my skull and he wasn't about to tamper with that. Explanation being the muscle involved extends from mid upper back up to the shoulder and neck with the nerve centre being right at the top. Or something like that .. So guess I live with a pain in the neck for the foreseeable future.

He had some other choice news for me which I won't get into but I have to see him again on the 27th for some tests.

Better not interfere with my yard work! I cannot wait to get out there. I need that soul food badly.

Hope you are all feeling a lot better than I am !

One bright and cheery thing .. I usually take Tuffy with me when I go out. Yesterday I decided to leave him home in his crate. When we returned I got a welcome which almost made my heart burst. I have never seen such joy as that little imp exhibited ! I surely do have someone who loves me quite a lot. He never even looked at Les.. Mommy was the target of all that love. I am afraid however he hurt Les' feelings. Les tried to divert the attention from me so I could sit down ... nope Tuffy wasn't interested. What a good thing it was for me when that sweet adorable little bundle of fur became part of our family!

Arm is objecting so going to stop here.

Have a great day everyone.

Well Snuff.. this furball you would definitely love. He is the most affectionate little monkey you can imagine. He also has a temper like a two year old. He literally stamps his feet(or at least his two front paws) and flops on the floor when I tell him NO! He then looks up at me with those huge eyes of his looking as if his heart is broken. Of course as soon as I laugh or give in his tail goes a mile a minute and I get a kiss. Then he proceeds to do what he was doing which precipitated the NO! in the first place. He has my number down pat.

I want to let Tuffy sleep on my bed but so far haven't tried the transition from his crate where he sleeps now.

The vet says it isn't really a good plan until he is at least 1 year old. ShihTzus are difficult to train until they are at least 2 years old apparently and then there is no problem at all although Tuffy very seldom has accidents any more at all even now and he has never ever fouled his crate. Not even once.

My question is .. how do I make him understand that his sleeping area has been moved to sleeping with me instead of his crate ? Now if I lie down on the sofa he thinks its playtime and jumps up and all over me all excited because he thinks Mommy is inviting him to play.

CO - I have three canines who all have my number and vie with each other for my attention. And do they ever vie with each other. My cocker barks if I give too much attention to the other two, wants me to throw her toy or ball or whatever she has in her mouth at the time; by golden lab will try to hump the golden retriever when she sees me petting Guy too much; and my golden retriever who is just a lug will try to get into my lap (he fancies himself an overgrown lap dog) when he thinks I'm spending too much time with the other two. My cocker and lab sleep on my bed at night. They have their respective places, and if the cocker intrudes on the lab, the lab gets up, jumps off the bed, voluntarily goes to her crate for about an hour, and later returns usually after I'm asleep. The golden retriever gets too hot sleeping on a bed and would prefer the floor. This month is the month of the big shed. And my lab seems to have more hair than any animal I have ever known. Today I took all three to the vet for immunizations etc. And that was quite a scene. Usually is when I have to deal with three of them at the same time. My retriever needs a ramp to get into the trunk of my car; my lab protests climbing up the ramp; and my cocker heads for the front seat after jumping into the trunk. Its a comedy of errors. And for all the work taking care of these three, feeding, grooming, walking, playing, ignoring, scolding, hugging, I wouldn't trade them for all the tea in China. They are such great company. And I continue to be out of my mind. woohoo2.gif

Good Lord Snuff.. you are a better person than I am. I have all I can do to handle one ! I would love to be a fly on the wall watching you load your canine family into the car.. it must be a riot!

Its true they don't like being neglected or sharing. When I am cleaning canary cages , and there are 3 cages with a total of 4 canaries in them .. Tuffy supervises and demands that he get attention at frequent intervals. God help the canaries if I talk to them too much .. he tries to mount the cage stands. The only time he pays any attention to them is if I am with them. Otherwise they simply do not exist as far as he is concerned.

I am lucky in one regard. ShihTzu don't shed. They have hair not fur. Downside is you have to keep them brushed and combed or it mats like crazy.

Any tips on making the sleeping transition from crate to bed ?

The Psychiatrist says I'm "clinically depressed". Wow....what a brainiac he is. Nothings wrong, my life is good, so it must be chemical. Runs in the family.

Oh Betty.....no one will let me have a Tuffy sad.gif I know I would regret it after a year or two, but I want hugs and kisses and cuddles from a furry little thing that thinks he's a big tiger protecting you and his "domain".

I'll see you all in chat I hope. I'll try to be there by nine. Last week I didn't get there til 12 and almost everyone had left.

Let's do "or something like that" - the only problem I have shopping is making up my mind. The more "sometimes" there are to chose from, the less likely I am to purchase anything. Give me a choice of 3 of anything and I do fine.
