Howard, never did like being treated like a commoner. I remember him being asked by Chris Matthews, if he Howard, ever thought of the kid(s) who went in his place during the draft. Dean, got exasperated and looked like somebody had asked him if he engaged in incest. His words revealed much. He said something along the line of "no, why would I"

Unfortunately, an "elitist snarl" does occasionally slip out of a personality structure that Howard
has essentially done a, "work over" on, during the last 20 years. His response could have been
to seek agreement with the Media for some uncovered Time for the Candidates to meet together, with the Chair of the Democratic Party to work out a broad general foreign policy statement
on selected issues. This is something I have called for Dean to do previously.

Howard's heart is in the right place. But the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
