Thought I would share some of my poems. Some are published on the Poets Against the War site.
Time Speaks
This is the end result
built on the seeds of Genesis
a million dreams to line the earth
now boiling in a magi's fist
So not to err
we'll end this line
we'll call it fair
when swine eats swine
A hero's call
to quell the hurt
no more to stray
to lie in dirt
The world will still turn
and time will weep
the blood will still run
while children sleep
Flesh lies by the river's bed
from deep inside a despot's head
the earth will light up five degrees
with corpses frozen on their knees
The Nectar of Dung Beetles
It wasn't until the absence of winter,
when the snow no longer white,
parried with smokestacks
for it's place in dank confetti skies,
that we noticed our own feet,
were glued to tarmac lies.
We stopped squirming
at the glare of mortar gods screaming
out napalm fits with our cracker crusted eyes,
but this flag shreds no faster in colorless flight,
so we will eat the nectar of dung beetles,
and once again with lizard grins
pick our teeth and feign delight.
War and Other Strangers
Hell scattered lemon drops
melt by the turnstile
gored by the heat
that fell down from the sky
Dogs from the junkyard
gather round slowly
waiting for skin scraps
their howls turn to cries
Men in the green coats
see nothing but vengeance
abandoning reason
for angels on high
Rain falls as bullets
tap out bloody dances
vacating hope
on the strength of a lie
Little ones bleeding
while time takes their mothers
the only thing left
between them and the flies
