A topic of discussion that has circulated around my border state since I was a kid has been the idea of annexing both Canada and Mexico, then integrating them into our America. Over the years I’ve heard a lot of talk about the pros and cons of said mindset. With today’s hyped immigration quandary I would like to hear some of your thoughts on the idea of one America starting at the north pole and going to the isthmus of Panama.
Some believe we will never secure the border as long as the lifestyle on the south side is so extremely impoverished relative to the lifestyle on the north side. They believe we can end the motivation for people to move north through equality.

I don’t believe we would find co-operation from either initially. But I’m not sure about the long term, many may like the idea of becoming Americans once they’ve given it some thought.
