Market based health care is essentially what we have now. The concept is used to make
the system sound better, not be better. The centrist democratic candidates are all proposing a more coercive system to force everyone to buy health insurance unless one can prove they are sufficiently poor, in which case the goverment will buy it for you as in welfare. The results of all these approaches will be to drive up the cost of health care, further complicate the piece meal
system now in effect. The winners will be insurance companies, large scale service providers and
the drug companies. The losers will be tax payers and the consumers of health care services. The only candidate that is telling the truth about our problems and opportunities in this area of
concern is Denis Kucinich and most of the powers that be are actively blocking his message. Doing nothing is better than continueing to waste resources on the present system which can't be fixed.
