Here is a comment I posted to T. Samuels article on American Prospect:
This excerpted paragraph tells it all, the media is spinning and I would like a job rewriting the same facts with spin from the opposite side:
In recent days, one story after another has built on the now familiar theme:"Democrats Bow to Bush's Demands in House Spending Bill," declared The Washington Post. From CQ: "Senate Republicans Keep Democrats Off Balance." "Dems Cave On Spending," screamed another headline in The Hill.

Perhaps something like this: If one watches the live sessions of the two houses of Congress, it is totally clear that the right wing extremists are controlling the whole Republican contingent who are in an alliance to reject every forward looking piece of legislation proposed. Mitch McConnell in the Senate and John Boehner in the House lead the obstructionist activity, power is more important to them than curing the polarization or even reducing it. There is no shred of evidence that they place the people's business above their power appetite.
