Cautious hope for peaceful Middle East
Change is the only constant, it seems, in the volatile Middle East, but a calmer, even peaceful, 2008 is possible if President George W Bush embraces a last-minute "peace legacy"; if Hamas and Fatah can mend fences in Palestine and if Israel is serious about reducing tensions.
