Next Steps on Iraq: Vets Speak Out

The Elections Are Over BUT THE WAR ISN'T

VETERANS MEETING & SPEAK OUT
Saturday December 11, 2004 3-6 PM
Community Church 40 E 35th Street, New York City

Many hoped the recent elections would signal a positive change in national direction but this did not happen. We now face more wars abroad and worsening social conditions as well as more attacks on freedom here at home.

We can give up and shut up OR continue to organize and mobilize for progress. Come to a public assembly of veterans, military families and other concerned citizens to hear speakers, discuss the issues and stand up for what is right.

Veterans, Military Families and Supporters Welcome

Speakers include
Michael Hoffman, Marine veteran of Iraq and cofounder of Iraq Veterans Against the War
Stan Goff, Army Special Forces veteran of Vietnam, founding member of Bring Them Home Now Campaign, author of two books on his military experiences
Pat Gunn, Navy veteran and member of Military Families Speak Out
Job Mashariki of Black Veterans for Social Justice
Christian Parenti, journalist in Iraq and Afghanistan

Open microphone and discussion.
