I know that there are folks in the House who are willing to contest the election. But does anyone know if at least one Senator has agreed to sign on? I just don't want to see another scene like in F9/11, where all these House members wanted to contest the election, but not a single Senator would join in.

No Senator had enough to of a spine to contest the blatantly fraudulent vote in 2000, so do you really expect them to step up to the plate for 2004, when it isn't as clear-cut? Don't hold your breath.

I don't think the Dems really want another scene like the one in F9/11. Moore is making a sequel, and I'm sure he's saving a spot for this, if it happens.

What about Senator Paul Wellington? I bet he has the guts to do it.

It won't happen... expecially with the popular vote margin of Bush... but...
From a technical standpoint...
When is the vote... January 6 ? Could Kerry or Edwards contest it themselves ? or, any other outgoing Senator ?

The only thing that Edwards has to lose is the political career that he already has lost!
Though it could cost him plenty of business and the wrath of the body bag fillers.

I thought the new senators and congressmen got sworn in around Jan 1st? If that's the case, Edwards won't be a senator anymore. But a Democrat with a very safe seat could do it. Teddy - YooHoo! Your junior senator needs your help here...

What we need to find out is which senators have the least to lose, in other words their seats are relatively safe.

Calling Senator Kennedy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think he has been outspoken enough to perhaps consider questioning the results of this election.

Kennedy is the only United States Senator who responded publicly to defend Kerry when the Republican Revlutionaries attacked him in the tail end of the election campaign.
He has balls, yet he should not be made to be the sacrificial lamb for the DNC, when much lesser of men serve as Senators and should be sent to the front line to make the charge.

Ted Kennedy is no one's sacrificial lamb. He's got one of the safest seats in the Senate. It's his until he chooses to retire.

He is more than a Senator, he is an INSTITUTION. He is a LEGACY. His family name is synonomous with DEMOCRACY. He, if anyone, can and should be the person to step forward and lend credibility to this claim. At the very least, he can lend his support to the refom of our voitng process by helping to bring public the discrepancies in this last election and further, by using that public attention to demand reformation of our current method of voting and tabulation to ensure and inist that our system is fair, consistent, and accurate.

Ted Kennedy has been in the Senate for
42 years. He's survived the Chappaquiddick scandal, a failed run for president, and the loss of his 2 brothers to assassins. He loves opposing conservative ideologues like the Bushies. He is truly the Lion of the Democratic Party. I hope Kennedy steps up to the plate on this one.
