I disagree with this one-sided broadside against the Catholic Church. I'm not a Catholic although my wife is. There is a lot of good that has been done by people in the Church, priests and devout laypeople. There is certainly a lot that the Church has to answer for. As far as the settlement goes my feelings are a bit mixed, it is a shame that this money isn't going to help the needy people it might have but the victims cannot be denied justice. The real villains are the bishops who irresponsibly let this stuff happen, too bad there isn't enough money in their hides to extract.
