US military severely strained, officers say
A survey of 3,400 current and former high-level US military officers has provided damning findings on America's military stature. They see a force stretched dangerously thin and a country ill-prepared for the next fight. More than 3,400 officers holding the rank of major or lieutenant commander and above were surveyed, seeing a military apparatus severely strained by the grinding demands of war.
