Taken several days ago, this is an incredibly poignant and solemn portrait of our President:

Last Respects: President Obama attends the dignified transfer of U.S. Army Sgt. Dale R. Griffin shortly before four in the morning at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware. Griffin is one of 18 U.S. personnel who died Monday in Afghanistan and returned to the U.S. on board an Air Force C-17 military transport plane.

Excellent! Thanks for sharing! Such a departure from the traditional "stuffy" events, isn't it?

By the way Regarding the party

There was an article in my conservative home town paper the other day about
a lot of grumbling from big democratic contributers not getting as much attention from the Obama
White house as they had gotten from Clinton. Also a lot of complaints thAT Obama had not
appointed near as many big time contributors to jobs as the previous three administrations. I took
all this as a positive thing for Obama...

Today, I received a holiday card from Barack and Michelle Obama. It's beautiful.....simple and elegant. Thinking of framing it............ biggrin.gif
