Hi. Someone just told me about this - I'm not sure if I'll go or not, but though others might be interested. This is a march that is going to take place at each state capital this Sunday (The 12th) - a you stole my vote march.

Thanks Meg.
I will be in Washington, DC on Sunday. I hope the turnout is more than the 400 that showed up in Ohio. With #s like those, we'll never be taken seriously...... sad.gif <_< blink.gif

Being one of those 400 who showed up in Ohio, I agree. Reasons why more people didn't show up:
10. The only jobs in the state of Ohio are in the state government, and people didn't want to lose their job.
9. People were afraid of the (relatively for Ohio) warm, sunny day.
8. The friendly, cooperative police scared them off.
7. They were too busy watching T.V.
6. They are in the witness protection program, and didn't want to be on T.V.
5. They were too busy shopping; an activity that can take place any time, but why not enjoy the panic in December?
4. People were too comfortable at the rally in their lawn chairs.
3. The people at the rally were too friendly, and the friendliness and comfortable clean building of the Afrocentric Middle School in the evening frightened them off.
2. They couldn't find the statehouse (the biggest thing on Columbus, at the intersection of the two main streets.)
1. They didn't want to live in a free country anymore.

But seriously... there were fewer people than that a couple of centuries ago at the Boston Tea Party...
Things may start small, but they can grow. A friend of ours in another state had heard of the rally, so the word is beginning to get out; but it must be built on.
