This past wednesday i celebrated my 1 year anniversary from my move to Staten Island from Brooklyn and who would've thought my first and only GOP representative Vito Fossella would get busted for a DUI charge and having an Extramarital Affair.

Yeah i believe he's gonna step down from office but i think this seat is gonna remain republican cause SI is pretty much conservative. District Attorney Dan Donovan looks to be the repubs choice and potential favorite to win Fossella's seat. I would be very surprised if my fellow brooklyn'ite and Attorney Steve Harrison pulls a huge upset and wins this seat for the Democrats.

We'll see if Dean's 50 state strategy works and changes another conservative area to Blue in November.
