Economic turmoil was the story this week, with oil and gas prices causing much of the anxiety. The rise in prices are often cited as a simple issue of supply-and-demand but Howell Raines, media columnist for Portfolio Magazine, says journalists haven't pushed back hard enough against oil companies' explanations for the high prices.

Yesterday, Senator Obama made a major energy comment:

Check the air in your tires.

Sorry Obama fans...I just can't stop laughing on that one.

A quaint notion, for sure....taking personal responsibility for how we live our lives...good habits vs bad habits....excess vs restraint...

Now that I think about it, it is laughable when considered in the context of Americans' gluttonous behaviors.....
