All Things Considered, July 25, 2008 · The ongoing showdown between the White House and congressional Democrats has taken center stage as the House Judiciary Committee convened a session on "the Imperial Presidency." It gave a forum for critics of the White House.

In listening to the above story and the questions republicans had about why the Dems would move forward and "rehash" this.
Unlike the GOP who did not learn from Nixon and allowed Dick Cheney to function with Bush on the dark side.

The Democrats have learned from the error of McCarthy in the 1950's. Red Terror/Bush's terror both provided too much power to a part of national government. Balance needs to be restored and yes an investigation needs to be done to see where mistakes made and power misused. If the misuse was criminal even a president of USA or any other country should be above the law.

The more I hear Bush speak out about the president of Zimbabwe the more I think he is making a point for sanctions against himself.

As for the President of Zimbabwe; Bush has not done enough. Information is that the president of Zimbabwe is providing information on Bin Laudin in bits and pieces.....

Unfortunately, this type of back/forth was shown not to work in any of the hearings.

One side wants to do something, other side asks stupid questions.

So we got Condie questioned and nothing
We got Gonzalez questioned and nothing
We got a phony 9-11 committee

Now just 2 days ago, we hear there will be a new oversite committee
and low and behold the bi-partisan committe named to go into stuff is being co-chaired by Porter Goss

yeah, that's the ticket.
Put one of the really bad guys in as chairmen
