The NAACP is hopeful that current trends will lead to reparations.

I remember the Union promised 40-acres and a mule to newly freed
black people in The South. But they didn't deliver...because the NY
banks that funded the Civil War were more interested in railroad
investments then newly freed black people.

Just they way it is...Nancy Pilosi can smile a mile wide, but CA ain't
giving LA to black folk...it's not in their interest...and Obama knows it.
After-all he's a half-white politcian. It's all about him...not the NAACP.

He can claim a "cross-roads" moment, but he never went to Highway 61
in Mississippi...he was busy in Hawaii, Columbia and Harvard.
