Imagine if Bill Clinton speaks and then says Ladies and Gentlemen...the next Vice President Al Gore

I'd jump up and dance around my den, whooping and hollering! Then I'd faint. Then I'd pick myself up after blood got back to my brain and sit on couch and listen to someone explain a very bad joke.

the way the Clinton's talk...maybe they will fillibuster and there never will be any VP or Presidential speech

that is an ingenious move by Obama getting everyone's #s, which will be good, because they can make sure people
get to the right polling place, something that hampered democratic candidates in 2006, when they showed up at
a wrong place after dirty tricks by the repubs

DENVER -Unity, security and change are the nightly themes for the Democratic Convention.

Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, co-chair of the convention, said Monday that the theme for the Aug. 25 opening night will be "One Nation," with a speech by Michelle Obama.

The Aug. 26 theme is "Renewing America's Promise" with a speech by Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama's chief rival for the presidential nomination.

On Aug. 27, the theme is "Securing America's Future" with an acceptance speech by Obama's still-unannounced vice presidential candidate.

The theme for Aug. 28, the night Obama formally accepts the nomination, is "Change You Can Believe In."

Judge Permits Detroit Mayor to Attend Party Convention

Mayor Kwame M. Kilpatrick of Detroit will be allowed to attend this month’s Democratic National Convention after a judge on Thursday lifted an order that had forced Mr. Kilpatrick to wear an electronic tether and stay in a three-county area because of pending assault and perjury charges.

What does Kilpatrick have to do with anything?

Not defending the guy, he seems to be a major embarassment to Detroit. But that's their problem.

Larry Craig may be a lot of things, but sex offender, I do not believe, is technically one of them, unless Minnesota has a VERY strict interpretation of that term. Propositioning an *adult* male in a restroom would not get one listed that way here in TX.

Yes, I hardly think that Larry Craig can be defined as a "sex offender". Perhaps he can be defined as a "nuisance".
