Let's help our guys get radio scanners along with the needed armor plating ! On the Dec 10, 2004 Newshour discussion with Shields and Brooks, I heard that radio scanners can help defeat Improvised Explosive Devices.
During Vietnam, "multiple fragmentary wounds, explosive devices, rockets/mortars" when added up made up for a majority of casualties in the Vietnam war (see http://www.archives.gov/research_room/rese...tics.html#cause and scroll to 'cause of casualty' ).
If we can prevent IEDs from going off in the first place we've shut the enemy down !
