It seems the media had no problem ignoring this back then. Nor do they seem to be looking back now and wondering why production in Arizona wasn't ever increased.

So.... do we continue to allow the Administration to blame Kerry for voting for the armor before he voted against it? They never even bothered to explain that the bill Kerry voted for.... was only different in that it paid for the war. How in the world could he come back two weeks later and say that forcing our grandkids to pay would be okay?? Wouldn't THAT be a flip flop??

Now, I don't know why you folks think Rummy needs to investigate why our troops don't have all they need to fight this good war. He already knows without any research, they're expendable. The majority of them are, ya know, poor or colored. . .we're busy shipping jobs abroad, so it's not like they'll be able to get jobs if they come back, so why bother making sure they have a chance at it. As for the ones over there who don't constitute one of the previously mentioned classes of Americans, the last thing they want them to do is come back heroes because if they do they'll probably be Democrats who will point out that the biggest hawks in the US are the chickenhawks.
