PHOENIX – U.S. Sen. John McCain said Monday that he has "no confidence" in Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, citing Rumsfeld's handling of the war in Iraq and the failure to send more troops.
McCain, speaking to The Associated Press in an hourlong interview, said his comments were not a call for Rumsfeld's resignation, explaining that President Bush "can have the team that he wants around him."

McCain is a spineless, pandering, slimy, typical politician. I'm sure no fan of Rummy but I'm sick of that two face McCain saying what he thinks people want to hear but never willing to stand up for anything.

All of them are hypocrits.

And, you are really being tooooooo nice to him. I can think of better descriptive words.

why does everyone ignore the topics that I make but everyone responds to everyone elses? I made this topic at like 2:00 today but here we are, and I bet this isn't the last one to be made either.

I have no confidence in McCain! What a flip-flopper! He's panders to Bush, helps get him re-elected and then grandstands with his comments against Bush's policies and cabinet. If he feels so damn strongly about it, why didn't he either:
1. campaign for Kerry or,
2. have the courage of his own convictions and stay on the sidelines
What a weasel! I wrote him and told him so some months ago too.

Same thing happens to my threads. You're not the only one. People don't look past the first page to see what threads are here before they post.

CHuck Hagel R-Nebraska also gave some withering comments on his disagreements with Rummy! Looks like they are starting to eat their own!! After that performance last week with the troops, I'm surprised those soldiers didn't send HIM out for a ride in one of those unprotected Humvees!! :D

Ooo nice. Hopefully more will come. What would be great if all the voting fraud doesn't come through is if they do like in the olden days and riot them out of the House.

I'm starting to feel the same way about McCain. What did he expect out of Bush!?!?
Also, if McCain had in minerals of worth he'd DEMAND for Dumbsfelds resignation not just give him a vote of no confidence.

Stormin' Norman dissed the Defense department on Zahn's show tonight, as well. It seems a few Republicans are finally getting some conscience (after election day) about how the Bushies are running this war and acknowledging that their incompetence affects lives.

The classic case of the kettle calling the pot black, McCain is a loser, how he came to hero status is beyond me, being a POW does not necessarily make you a hero, he is no more than another right winger with power, Arizona you can do way better. McCains opinion should mean nothing to the moderates, unless they are taking to listening to the right. This man is the sneaky kind of conservative, he has a lot of people thinking he is moderate, check his voting record, he is somewhere to the right of Goldwater

Don't feel so bad, I'm sure that someone will come play with you !!
John McCain lost any respect that I had for him when he kissed Bush's tush!
The others coming out is no surprise, Hagel's been critical of Bush for awhile now,
good ole' Norm new long ago that our stuff was weak in Iraq and he kept his mouth shut so he wouldn't hurt Bush's re-election and by doing that he caused more Soldiers and Marines to die, nice going General!! They're all a bunch of political hacks and make 's you sick when you stop and think that their stupid game is killing our kids!!

I'm surprised that Senator John Warner has been so quiet about Rummy. And even Senator Lindsey Graham was damn near apologetic in his smarmy Southern "oh well, aw schucks" comments the other day when they were discussing Rummy.
It's almost as if they think no one could screw it up as bad as Rummy, so they might just as well leave him at the helm.
